About Therese Kelly
I’m originally from Rossacon, Newmarket, and was born in 1972. After spending several years traveling the world with my husband, Jack, we eventually settled in Galway. While I hold a degree in Economics and Maths from UCC and spent time in teaching, painting has always been my true passion.
When we arrived in Galway from Melbourne, I decided it was time to take my art to the next level. I enrolled in art classes at The Paint Box in Barna, where I had the privilege of studying under Miriam Cronin. Miriam has been a wonderful mentor and a major influence on my artistic journey. It was at The Paint Box that I truly found my niche, working primarily with oils on canvas. My inspiration comes from the world around me, and I always have my camera at hand to capture any scene that sparks my creativity.
Though my five children are my top priority, I always make time to paint. Whenever I can, you’ll find me in my art studio, completely absorbed in the creative process.
